A Test to Identify Your Ayurvedic Constitution/Dosha

Posted in: Uncategorized- Feb 27, 2017 No Comments

In Ayurveda, the first step before making any recommendation consists in identifying your dosha/constitution. You can also complete the test below on your own.

Some of you may have noticed discrepencies between what you have found on various tests and what you have been told by a practitioner. One of the most common error people make, including novice practitioners, is to make assumptions. The perspective from which you have answered questions at different times in your life may also be a factor. It could also be that the balance in your doshas has shifted significantly. That’s why confirming your score with a knowledgeable and experienced ayurvedic practitioner is important before making any significant change in your nutrition and lifestyle. When you come to see me for the first time, I will ask if you know your constitution, but also a few more questions to confirm that statement.

The highest total shows your main dosha. If two columns have the same or close score (eg. less than 4 points), you have a dual dosha. If your three totals are close, you have a tri-doshic constitution.

Your totals in hand, you will likely ask: so, what’s next?”. That’s when you can sign up for my workshop ‘I now know my dosha, so what’s next?’
